Video capture solutions showcased

Specialising in HD video capture devices, such as PCI Express video capture cards and USB 3.0 video capture devices, Magewell is showing a range of solutions at ISE 2015 including a USB 3.0 capture box series that supports an HD interface (VI/VGA/HDMI/YPbPr/SDI) as well as SD interface (CVBS). They can capture one channel/multi-channels of HD/SD or mixed HD and SD signals, providing users with mobile capture solutions. The HD unit can capture up to 1080p60.

Magewell also has an HDMI capture series that uses the PCI Express interface, including single/dual/quad channel HD HDMI capture. The dual/quad HDMI capture cards support 3D signals.

The company’s SDI capture series is said to provide complete SDI capture solutions, covering one channel capture (including one loopback), dual channel capture (including dual loopback) and quad SD/HD/3G-SDI capture cards. According to Magewell, they feature power consumption only half that of similar products.

A DVI capture series is also available, using DVI-I. Its capture capability includes DVI/VGA/HDMI/YPbPr etc, with resolution at 1080p60. Magewell believes that it has superior automatic VGA detection, including automatic detection of timing and phase, and the unit supports long-distance DVI/HDMI input cable.

The Hybrid series can be used to capture both HD and SD signals, with no need for extra PCI Express slots or multiple cards. The series includes an HDMI 4K card which meets the HDMI 1.4 standard and supports 3D, and a DVI 4K card that meets the Dual Link standard.
