Video capture delivers health benefits

The Veobox Quad Kit is a multi-stream capture system that is designed for use in simulation centres and surgery rooms

The Veobox Quad Kit is the latest audio/video capture and streaming system for the healthcare market from Veo-labs.

The Quad Kit is a multi-stream capture system that is designed for use in simulation centres and surgery rooms. It can mix up to four video signals (from cameras, vital signs monitors and so on) in different layouts, to help to deliver the best angles of view either during a simulation or a real-life surgery.

The unit has a 250GB SSD hard drive that, for example, allows immediate video replay to debrief after a simulation. Secured live streaming is also possible over an internal network or over the Internet.

The Quad Kit also provides video editing and annotation features so users can tag of points of interest in the video. Like the entire Veobox product line, the Quad Kit offers an intuitive user interface and can be integrated in a control room, according to the company.

The set-up is also available in a mobile version – known as Veostudio Quad Suitcase – that includes monitoring screens and audio devices, thus providing a standalone mobile solution. The Quad Kit can also be combined with the OpenVeo Mediaserver to offer secure video publishing.
