New products in Helvar’s iC range, which enables easy colour control using DALI Type 8 (Dt8) commands, will be on show during ISE 2015.
The 35W (LL35/2-E-DA-iC) and 60W (LL60/2-E-DA-iC)DALI drivers for tunable white enable users to mix warm and cool white light and light intensity, to mimic outdoor lighting conditions where morning light has a different colour and intensity than midday light.
The new ISE exhibitor says this promotes feelings of well-being and productivity for people who spend big part of their day indoors in artificial light, such as office workers, school students, hospital patients and so on.
Helvar’s products allow the user to pick a scene of a certain colour and intensity with the touch of a button, which decreases programming time. The Dt8 commands enable the user to control two or more output channels – which are connected to two modules with different colour temperatures – over a single common address. The use of just one DALI address greatly reduces the cost of a DALI lighting system.
The total power can be divided between the two output channels in any proportion.
