True 8K real-time workflow now supported

The Wings Engine media server platform from AV Stumpfl now has a new hardware configuration and powerful render engine, enabling the system to support a true 8K real-time workflow and uncompressed 4k video playback.

Multiple simultaneous timelines and live players can be combined in live setups and interactive attractions. According to the company, full Art-Net support, up to eight 3G-SDI or DVI live inputs and frame-lock/gen-lock capability make the Wings Engine a cost effective all-in-one solution for live shows and installations.

AV Stumpfl notes that customers buying a Wings Engine will receive individual product training at its headquarters in Wallern or at one of the company’s partners. The training covers the basics of programming and efficient workflows, and teaches attendees how to edit their own projects and how to realise those projects most effectively.

Also on show on the company’s ISE 2015 stand are two completely new models of solid-state video player hardware for playback of content with resolutions up to UHD.

Multiple players can be frame-synchronised via the network and new content can be delivered via the internet. The players are fully integrated in AV Stumpfl’s Avio communication layer for turnkey use in themed attractions and networked digital signage systems. A customisable web interface and numerous control options are included.
