Three compelling reasons to visit Hall 14

Hall 14 of the RAI is the location for three unmissable show ISE 2020 features: the Innovation Zone, showcasing exciting new exhibitors; the VR at ISE feature; and the Main Stage theatre

The main entrance to Hall 14 is close to the entrance to Hall 2; if you pass the escalators down from Hall 13 on your left, the entrance to Hall 14 is just on your right. Alternatively, there is another entrance near the rear of Hall 1.

The Innovation Zone has been specially created as a vibrant location that enables companies with exciting new solutions to present them at ISE for the first time. Housing 18 exhibitors, the Innovation Zone has been specially designed by ISE partner Improve.

Among the exhibitors making their debut in the ISE 2020 Innovation Zone are:

  • Delta reality, a Croatian virtual, augmented and mixed reality technology company
  • HOMMBRU, a German manufacturer of ‘invisible’ loudspeakers
  • Nomadix Media, a British supplier of wearable digital signage solutions, and
  • Stage Eye, the Polish maker of a laser-based positioning system.

Nearby, the VR at ISE feature allows attendees to explore the latest in virtual collaboration as well as experiencing an interactive virtual reality ride.

Two Digital Projection Multiview VR systems will show how virtual reality can be used in immersive, collaborative spaces. Multiview allows up to three people to view and interact with a stereoscopic 3D virtual model. Crucially, each person sees the object from their own viewpoint – unlike conventional multi-user VR systems where everyone sees exactly the same perspective.

The other element of VR at ISE is an immersive underwater-themed VR theme park ride called Aqua. Designed and run by Lightspeed Design and DepthQ (which will also supply the media hardware), the ride uses Jaymar chairs fitted with D-Box motion bases. Projectors from Digital Projection beam the VR mapped content onto a Vioso domed screen.

Rounding off a trio of show features in Hall 14, the Main Stage will present high-quality thought-leadership sessions throughout the four days of the ISE exhibition. Four content partners – ISE, AVIXA, CEDIA and AV Magazine – as well as Main Stage sponsor Shure will host presentations and panel discussions covering a wide range of topics in business; technology; best practice; and people management, recruitment and diversity. The Main Stage is designed and run by Improve.

The Main Stage will also host the AVIXA Diversity Council and Women’s Forum events on the Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons respectively, and the Stand Design Awards ceremony on the Thursday afternoon.
