The CEDIA Awards 2020 is open for trade suppliers

This category includes three awards: Best New Hardware, Best New Software and Product Hall of Fame

CEDIA is now accepting award entries for the 2020 manufacturer awards categories, which recognises the best products in the home technology industry.

This category includes the following awards: Best New Hardware, Best New Software, and Product Hall of Fame.

The CEDIA Best New Hardware and Best New Software categories are open to products that have been released and are shipping between 30th September 2018 and 30th September 2019. Products that have been entered in previous years cannot be entered into this category again, unless a new version of the product has been released. The entry fee for both of these categories is $300 per entry, and this rate covers entry into both the EMEA and Americas awards.

Free to enter, CEDIA’s Product Hall of Fame honours products that have had a significant impact on CEDIA members and the wider home technology industry. To enter, products must have entered the market a minimum of seven years ago.

Manufacturers have until Monday 11th May to submit their entries. A judging panel will evaluate all entries before inviting the finalists to attend present and demonstrate their products to the panel.
For more information on the categories, including full entry requirements and submission forms, visit www.cedia.net/programs/awards/manufacturers or the CEDIA booth (1-E20) at ISE.

What last year’s winners had to say..

Charlie Kindel, Chief Product & Technology Officer, SnapAV and Control4:
“Receiving recognition from an industry award is validating; it proves that we’ve reached our goal to benefit our customers, professionals, and the industry. Each year, we enter our new products for the CEDIA Awards. In 2019, we debuted our new Control4 Smart Home OS 3, the platform designed to unify hundreds of connected devices within the home, control them all from a single platform, deliver the personalisation homeowners want, and facilitate the professional support smart home technology needs.

“We submitted Control4 Smart Home OS 3 for a CEDIA award in 2019, and were thrilled that it won the Best New Software category. We take pride in the award, as the CEDIA Awards establish credibility, indicating products and services that feature innovative design and quality.”

Roddy Abbott, Cinema Build Systems:
“Unbelievable is the word that best describes our reaction to winning the CEDIA Award for Best New Hardware. Given the competition we were up against from brands we respect, use, and work with ourselves, we were absolutely humbled to have been given this accolade for our Cinema Space Frame system. Hopefully for others, this award will inspire innovation, as we have shown that it’s not about the size of the company but about the size of the idea. And when the idea is for a product that can benefit integrators and the industry as a whole, then this changes things for the better.”
