Sustainable TOLAE prototypes presented at press conference

Optintegral’s press conference and showcase held yesterday demonstrated three prototypes which use a mould-based hybrid manufacturing technology for LED screens. These three prototypes have benefited from the research from the Horizon 2020 project created to find new sustainable thin, organic and large area electronics (TOLAE) displays.

The project partners demonstrated a large-scale, high-resolution 2D screen, a flexible, large format super-thin screen and a high-density screen with a new lens system that makes it possible to create 3D effects viewable without glasses. According to Optintegral, these products reduce costs and time to market by 40%, and halve dangerous greenhouse emissions produced by the manufacturing process.
