Lindy is celebrating its 90th anniversary at ISE 2022. The AV and IT connectivity company was formed in 1932, originally selling oil lamps, radios and electrical appliances. It now has offices throughout Europe and Asia, and 2022 marks the launch of Lindy Iberia – a new initiative that brings the company’s expertise and products to the Spanish market.
A demonstration at the Lindy stand shows how its technology extends high bandwidth signals across fibre and active connections. The combined installation uses 10m Active DisplayPort cables and 100m Fibre Hybrid cables to extend HD signals from multiple sources via a Dual Head DP KVM switch.
One of these sources uses a multiview switch which enables four simultaneous images on a single screen. This, coupled with the dual-head functionality of the switch, allows seven unique signals to be used. The whole setup is configured to utilise Lindy’s diverse portfolio of products including items such as Type C to DisplayPort, HDMI to DisplayPort and Type C docking stations.
