Which stands on the ISE show floor perform best? That’s what the judges will be contemplating as they take part in the ISE 2019 Stand Design Awards, which will be presented on Thursday afternoon.
Returning for their third edition, the awards are run independently of ISE by EXHIBITOR magazine, an award-winning title featuring best practices for trade show marketing. EXHIBITOR magazine’s Editor, Travis Stanton, along with senior writer and awards programme manager Linda Armstrong, will be on site for the duration of the show. Stanton has served as editor of EXHIBITOR magazine since 2005, while Armstrong has written about exhibit marketing and stand design for more than 15 years.
With every exhibitor automatically entered for the Awards, Stanton and Armstrong will complete the initial round of judging to select the finalists. There are four categories: 49sqm or less, 50-199sqm, 200-399sqm and 400sqm or more.
The finalists will be judged by an expert panel of designers and marketers:
- Heide Agne, Strategy Director, Hypsos, Soesterberg, Netherlands
- Andrea Fiorito, Art Director of brand events, Simmetrico Srl, Milan
- Dick de Jong, Manager of Presentations and Collections, NEMO Science Museum, Amsterdam
- Joe Kinze, Managing Director, Plan J GmbH, Frankfurt
- Thomas Zettlitz, Creative Director, Atelier Damböck Messebau GmbH, Munich
Scores will be based on eight different assessment criteria points, including strength of communications, integration of technology, impact and effective use of space.
“We have been consistently impressed with the calibre of exhibitry on display at ISE,” said Stanton. “We appreciate the opportunity to honour the hard work, dedication and creativity that ISE exhibitors invest into their face-to-face marketing campaigns which, in turn, keeps the exhibit hall buzzing with excitement year after year.”
The Stand Design Awards will be presented at an Awards Ceremony on Thursday at 16:30 on the ISE Main Stage in Hall 8 (8-E400).
