On Thursday 8 February sports broadcast trade association SVG Europe and PanStadia & Arena Management magazine will offer conference delegates the opportunity to find out about the latest technologies and solutions that are shaping venue design and enhancing the connection between fans and sports clubs and federations around the world.
Through a series of presentations and panel discussions the ‘Sports Venue and Fan Engagement Summit’ will consider the technologies and techniques – such as OTT services and higher-quality content for mobile – that are bringing fresh dimensions to fans’ enjoyment of all their favourite sports.
An opening panel, featuring representatives from AECOM, PTI, Arup and Ashton Gate, will explore the increased expectations placed on new stadiums and arenas have led to much closer cooperation between architects, venue operators and panel developers. The panel will explore how understanding the requirements of modern sports venues and designing them to be adaptable and flexible is key to ensuring that they meet the differing expectations of operators, sports people and spectators alike.
SVG Europe editor David Davies commented: “Maximising fan engagement inside Europe’s existing and new venues is a hot topic that involves the integration of a wide range of technologies and solutions. Alongside our partner Pan Stadia & Arena Management we have assembled a cross section of experts, from stadiums through to technology vendors. This will deliver a full day conference that will show how the industry is evolving and the business opportunities that are being created. ISE is the perfect location for this conference to take place.”
