Single app approach to audio control from Audac

Compatibility with other Audac products has been expanded with version 2.0 of the Audac Touch app

The pro-audio manufacturer has released the 2.0 update of its Audac Touch app, including a number of new features such as automatic device discovery.

Designed to deliver control of an entire audio installation from one app, Audac Touch 2 allows the installer to access “the configuration and usability of a consumer app, but with professional functionalities,” according to the company.

The automatic device discovery feature means the app will now automatically recognise and name all Audac devices in a system, allowing them to be added easily to dashboards and widgets.

There have also been developments in terms of compatibility with the wider Audac range, as a result of which it is now possible to mix and control the inputs of Audac’s M2 Multimedia digital audio mixer. The NMP40, Audac’s recently launched audio streaming SourceCon module for Spotify and Soundtrack Your Brand integration, is now also supported, enabling easy control of both streaming services within the application.

Meanwhile, combining the Audac Touch 2 app and the ARU multichannel digital relay units makes it possible to add and toggle-control third party devices such as a projector, lights or curtains.

Platforms supported by the app include Linux, iOS, Android and Windows.
