Scientific futurist Dr Michio Kaku to present Friday’s Closing Keynote

The first four-day Integrated Systems Europe exhibition is set to be the most exciting and thought provoking so far. In addition to hosting a record number of exhibitors, conferences and training programmes, one of the undoubted highlights for attendees will be the Friday Closing Keynote to be given by Dr Michio Kaku.

Dr Kaku is recognised as one of the world’s leading scientific figures, media personalities and public speakers. He is an established expert in Einstein’s unified field theory and has an unparalleled skill in predicting trends affecting business, commerce and finance based on the latest scientific research.

The Closing Keynote, which forms part of ISE’s FRDY@ISE exhibitor and attendee engagement initiative, will begin at 09.00 in the Forum, half an hour before the show opens on 12 February.

Dr Kaku has two New York Times best-sellers, Physics of the Future, and Physics of the Impossible. For Physics of the Future, he interviewed 300 of the world’s top scientists, many of them Nobel Laureates and directors of the largest scientific laboratories, about their vision for the next 20 to 100 years in computers, robotics, biotechnology, space travel, etc.

His latest book is The Future of the Mind, details the stunning breakthroughs being made in neuroscience, which are finally beginning to unravel the mysteries of the human brain. Recent scientific advances in brain-machine interface have made possible a form of telepathy, telekinesis, recording and uploading memories, and even photographing thoughts.

Dr Kaku holds the Henry Semat Chair in Theoretical Physics at the City University of New York. He received his PhD in physics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1972, and been a professor at CUNY for almost 30 years. He frequently keynotes major business conferences, focussing on trends over next 20 years in computers, finance, banking, and commerce.
