Scalable H.264 HD-over-IP range shipping after ISE

The NetworkHD-Pro system for professional H.264 HD-over-IP is having its first outing at ISE 2015. A flexible, multipurpose IP network distribution system with low latency and low bandwidth demands, WyreStorm claims it is perfect for managing very large installations over existing LAN infrastructure.

The system offers combined HDMI to H.264 encoding, decoding and control, as well as instant switching between source, Video Wall and Multi-View with resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz.

As with the WyreStorm JPEG2000 range released in September 2014, NetworkHD-Pro is built around a modular and scalable infrastructure design that easily allows the number of sources or zones to be expanded by simply adding more transmitters or receivers.

The single source NHD-PRO-1TX transmitter offers combined HDMI to H.264 encoding. The NHD-PRO-CTL control unit enables content to be streamed simultaneously through a network switch over conventional LAN without conflicting with other IP devices that might be present.

The NHD-PRO-RX-VW receiver offers H.264 decoding with Video Wall Processing, converting back to HDMI for Video Wall mode. The NHD-PRO-RX-MV has multi-view functionality allowing users to view up to 16 connected sources on the same screen at the same time.

With PoE support and bidirectional RS232, Network HD-Pro is compatible with the WyreStorm Enado control interface.

WyreStorm says its NetworkHD-PRO applications extend to not only digital signage, but also hospitality, education and corporate installations of any size, allowing projects to grow simply and cost effectively as the needs of the client change.

WyreStorm says the system will be available immediately following ISE 2015.
