Saving energy, reducing costs with Lutron

What the company describes as its unique approach to total light management is the focus for Lutron at ISE 2015. Enabling home owners and businesses to get the right balance between artificial and natural light, Lutron claims that it is the only company offering both light and blind solutions that help deliver improved health and wellbeing, productivity and energy savings.

On show on the Lutron stand are its LED solutions, including the EcoSystem 5-Series LED driver 35W and 50W. These devices, needed to operate and vary the intensity of light output from LED lamp sources, are said to significantly increase efficiency and save energy.

Lutron is also showcasing myRoom, a family of guestroom control solutions that offer what the company says are contemporary design, energy-efficient, affordable control options that help differentiate a property or hotel and delight guests. myRoom features tactile and audible feedback, automatic programming, control and comfort, says Lutron, saving energy, reducing operating costs and increasing guest satisfaction/loyalty.

Grafik T Slider is a new architecturally designed dimmer for the smart home market and commercial dimming applications. It marries Lutron touch dimming technology with intuitive, minimalist design.

Designed to automatically control lights via RF communication to compatible dimming and switching devices, Lutron’s Radio Powr Savr Wireless Occupancy/Vacancy Ceiling Sensor features wireless, battery-powered, passive infrared sensors. The company is showing a slimmer and smaller version of these sensors that detect the heat from people moving within an area to determine when the space is occupied.

Sensors then wirelessly transmit the appropriate commands to the associated dimming and switching devices to turn the lights on or off automatically. Also showcased is a wide range of energy-saving solutions, including Lutron’s newest Quantum Vue Software for total light management that are accessible from any mobile device, and a new keypads line.
