Retractable conference mic from Media Vision

The new digital conference microphone by Taiden, being presented on the Media Vision stand, is designed for integrators and end-users who are keen to hide all meeting technology solutions when not in use. The HCS-4851 is a flush-mount unit with a retractable line array microphone and mic activation button. A cover plate hides all electronics when the microphone is fully retracted.

When taken out for usage, the Taiden HCS-4851 microphone array has a total length of 20cm with a 30º lean angle; the microphone placement offers proximity to the sound source while using the advanced physical characteristics of a microphone array, which is said to ensure excellent pick-up of the human voice and to reject ambient noise from above and below the microphone.

“Our advocacy for conference systems is supported by the technical evidence that when a mic is close to the sound source it delivers a cleaner audio signal,” said Wesley Sutliff, product manager at Media Vision. “The new retractable solution by Taiden preserves all concerns for audio quality while responding to new trends in meeting environments and common concerns for aesthetics.”

The HCS-4851 digital conference microphone is claimed to be compatible with all other wired tabletop and flush-mount digital conference systems by Taiden.
