A new version of the Iconyx Gen5 Series, integrating media networking technology Dante, has been launched.
All Gen5 Series models including Iconyx and IC Live (ICL-F-RN) are now available with Dante control. The implementation, based on Dante Brooklyn, features dual RJ45 connections for fully redundant operation, while a single cable carries both Dante and RHAON II control data for streamlined connectivity.
Iconyx Gen5 represents the fifth generation of Renkus-Heinz’s Iconyx Series, incorporating UniBeam Technology for more uniform coverage, increased output, and faster setup, with new configurations for easier and more cost effective installation, according to the company. Dante-enabled models will be designated with a suffix of RD -for example IC16-RD.

Dante provides an easy-to-use, widely shared standard for audio over IP with the level of quality and performance our users expect.”
Dante-enabled models of Renkus-Heinz Gen5 products begin shipping this month.
Renkus-Heinz has also responded to a growing demand for Iconyx training with a series of training seminars.
The factory certification, which includes InfoComm CTS accreditation, has thus far certified more than 200 AV professionals. Seminars include training in all aspects of beam steering technology, including Iconyx, IC Live, and IC2 systems, as well as RHAON II control software.
“We began offering factory certification at the request of some of our representatives and customers,” explained Kirby. “As word got around, we started getting calls from more and more users, and every class we’ve scheduled has been booked to capacity.”
As demand for certification training continues to grow, Renkus-Heinz is now scheduling seminars for this year, with initial sessions already filling fast, the company says.
