New TICO FPGA IP-Cores for the 4:4:4 colour space, UHDTV1 and 4K have been announced by ISE exhibitor intoPIX. The video compression solution can handle HD or 4K with full 10-bit 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 colour spaces, offering image quality and low latency compression.
The support of 4K/UltraHD up to 60p video formats, as specified by HDMI2.0 or DP1.2 in the intoPIX TICO FPGA IP-Cores, enables high performance video-over-IP products to be created, to manage and transport 4K over cost effective 10GbE IP networks and other limited existing or legacy interfaces.
TICO UHD4K 4:4:4 IP-Cores features include a small Altera/Xilinx FPGA footprint with no external DDR, a minimum of nine lines of latency, visually lossless compression at 4:1 compression, and high levels of performance on CPU, FPGA or ASIC.
The TICO 4:4:4 IP-Cores for HD and UHD4K are now available to manufacturers.
