According to its manufacturer, Mean Well, the ERP-350 series low-profile signage panel power supply has already been widely deployed in applications such as large-scale outdoor LED moving sign panels and other commercial lighting applications due to its high efficiency and the fact that it is rain-proof. The company has now upgraded the range to the ERPF-400 series, which offers a built-in active PFC function.
The upgraded version expands the input range to 90~264VAC, while the interior remains semi-potted such that it is proof against both water and dust ingress. In fanless operation, working efficiency is said to be up to 91%.
The ERPF-400 can withstand a 300VAC surge input for up to five seconds, and has a working temperature in the range -30º to +60ºC. The unit complies with CCC/CB/CE requirements, measures 220.4mm x 130mm x 48mm and carries a three-year warranty.
The fact that it offers complete protection functionality – short circuit, overload, over voltage and over temperature – makes it highly suitable, says the company, for LED strip lighting, LED channel lighting, LED moving signage panels and so on.
