Internet Protocol for Media Experience (IPMX) is at a tipping point, according to Jed Deame, CEO of Nextera Video, and this time next year, “we’re going to see IPMX everywhere”.
IPMX is a set of open standards and specifications to enable the transport of compressed and uncompressed video, audio and data over IP networks.
“We’re big proponents of the IPMX standard, which is the only proper standard for video over IP. We were part of the committee developing the specification. And I’m happy to announce that we completed an interop last week, and we’ve locked down the spec. It’s now ready for the market,” Deame said.
