First-time exhibitor Pexip is showing its new Infinity multipoint videoconferencing software, which has just seen major orders from international engineering consultancy Arup and in Danish healthcare.
Coming from an IT background, Pexip is demonstrating “how AV companies can take advantage of conferencing in a virtualised world”, said Pexip CEO, Simen Teigre.
Pexip Infinity is a new concept in videoconferencing, using a virtualised, scalable and distributed architecture. It promises to enable corporations to deploy enterprise-wide HD videoconferencing in as little as 10 minutes – to any device.
The software can be deployed on VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V and features generic hypervisor support. It runs on standard servers and does not require custom hardware.
Its subscription-based model ensures that users and administrators have instant access to updates and new features as they become available. It supports most communication standards, and integrates with Microsoft Lync, Google WebRTC and any standard video and voice protocol.
