Being demonstrated at ISE 2017, the RS42-EZ and RS62-EZ are part of SoundTube’s RS-EZ Pendant speaker series and are designed for a wide variety of applications including restaurants, retail, hospitality, houses of worship and education. EN54-24:2008 certified, both speakers feature SoundTube’s BroadBeam Ring technology for wide, smooth dispersion of high frequencies.
The RS42-EZ incorporates a 4in coaxial driver and a 0.75in silk dome tweeter with BroadBeam Ring, while the RS62-EZ has a 6.5in coaxial driver and 1.0in silk dome tweeter with BroadBeam Ring.
The RS42-EZ and RS62-EZ include a ceramic input terminal strip, a built-in thermal fuse, hanging and safety cables, transformer with tap switch, and cover plate with a weather-resistant rubber plug. The speakers may be mounted via a hanging cable or direct conduit. In addition to the EN54 certification, the speakers are UL listed in the US and Canada (1480 UEAY and 2239).
A third product in this series, the HP82-EZ 8in high-power pendant with compression driver, received EN54 certification in 2014.
