Atomos has added switching and streaming capabilities to many of its products this year, most notably via its new AtomX Cast and Ninja Cast.
The AtomX Cast is a modular companion for the Atomos Ninja V monitor/recorder that uses the AtomX expansion port on the Ninja V or Ninja V+ to transform it into an advanced four-input switcher. The combined Ninja V and AtomX Cast is known as the Ninja Cast, offering all-in-one live switching and streaming.
The Sumo 19 is a combined monitor/recorder/switcher that is intended to bridge a 4K HDR workflow across multiple cameras, audio and Atomos devices.
The Shogun Studio 2 takes Atomos’ multi-channel recording technology and combines it with two premium 7in HDR 3,000nit high-brightness touchscreen displays, all in a single 3RU unit. It can connect to practically any SDI or HDMI source, including camera channels, PTZ cameras and vision mixers.
The Neon series (Neon 17 and Neon 24) are high-end 17in and 24in precision monitors that can also record, and are useful for studio/virtual production monitoring or accurate colour grading.
