New switcher, scaler, range extenders from Kramer

Opening the company’s press conference at ISE 2015, Aviv Ron, vice president business development and strategy at Kramer Electronics, asked show visitors to think of his company as one that provides a range of solutions – from corporate/enterprise/SMB, through education and collaboration, to control. Ron highlighted the layout of Kramer’s stand, with specific areas given over to each type of solution.

Showing for the first time in Europe are the VIA Collage and VIA Connect Pro collaboration solutions which enable multiple participants to manage and share video, documents or files securely in real time using PC, Mac or mobile devices.

Kramer also used ISE to announce the VP-772 eight-input 4K dual scaler with seamless video switching and special effect transitions. Designed for projection and display systems at live events, churches, auditoriums, conference rooms, boardrooms, hotels, and production studios, it scales and processes video and audio inputs and outputs to independent preview and program DVI-I outputs (VGA, DVI-D and HDMI) and two balanced stereo audio outputs.

Also new for ISE is the VSM-4x4HFS matrix switcher/multi-scaler with video wall and multi-viewing modes. Kramer claims that it offers the fastest and cleanest switching and scaling experience in the market.

Two further product introductions aimed at long-distance, reliable and high-performance transmission are the TP-590RXR and TP-590TXR range extenders – said to be among the first to incorporate Valens’ Colligo chipsets – that allow the connection of any device in the room over a single twisted pair cable without compromising on quality or performance. Kramer’s range extenders implement the entire set of features supported by HDBaseT 2.0, including USB 2.0.
