A new soundbar with unique, first to market concepts to enhance the user experience in both the workplace and classroom, is being launched today by Avocor.
The new AVC-SBPCM soundbar is powered by an embedded Windows 10 PC, enabling interactive or digital displays to instantly upgrade and experience the world of Windows 10.
This modular approach allows users to create a personalised flexible solution built specifically for individual requirements and needs which offers flexibility on servicing and future upgrade paths, reducing solution downtime.
The inbuilt PC has the new Apollo Lake chipset from Intel running Windows 10 with an 8GB RAM and 128gb SSD storage with a range of memory and storage options available. There is also a front facing Micro SD card slot included which provides an easy way to increase the storage of the embedded PC.
Speaking about the latest product release, Ian Goodhind from Avocor, said: “With the AVCSBPCM we have created something which is completely unique and innovative. Adding a Windows 10 operating system into a soundbar enables users to have a completely modular solution, enabling a clean and quick upgrade or maintenance path if required.”
With a full range of connectivity options including 2x HDMI inputs, HDMI output as well as Bluetooth aptX allowing easy connection to wireless mice, keyboards or microphones. The soundbar is also WiFi and Cat5 enabled allowing fast connection to the internet or your network.
It also contains a front facing high speed USB 3.0 port built in, meaning that content can be accessed directly from USB keys whilst additional technology such as web cameras can be attached via the 3x USB 3.0 connections at the rear.
