Networking lounges on the show floor

In addition to exhibitor stands, the ISE 2022 show floor will feature networking lounges, where attendees can connect with their peers and discover new aspects of the professional AV industry. Two of these are the Women in Live Music Lounge and the Influencer Lounge.

Women in Live Music (WILM) is a European platform for women working in the live events industry. As well as being a support network for its members, it also has a mission to help the industry to recruit a more diverse crew. The WILM Lounge (stand 7V650) is designed to be a ‘safe space’ where women, particularly industry newcomers, can relax and connect with other women; and also a place where anyone can come to find out more about the industry from a female perspective.

In addition to the Lounge, WILM and its CEO Malle Kaas are involved in various events during ISE:

  • On Tuesday 1 February at 16:00, a WILM panel will discuss ‘Where are the women in Sales and R&D?’ in the Live Events Arena in Hall 7. This will be followed by a WILM Diversity Reception at 17:00.
  • Malle Kaas will be one of the panellists at the AVIXA Women’s Council Shared Experiences panel, featuring inspirational women from audio, conferencing, project management and other areas of the industry. This will take place from 15:30 on Wednesday 2 February in the Projection Dome in Hall 5.
  • WILM will be taking part in the Shure Diversity Reception on Thursday 3 February at 17:00 on the Shure stand (3N250).

With social media being an increasingly important way for brands to build audiences, ISE 2022 is featuring an Influencer Lounge. Located on stand 2Q250 and sponsored by Monitor Audio, the Influencer Lounge is a dedicated area where social media influencers can create content and also network with exhibitors and attendees. It will also host a ‘Happy Hour’ reception for influencers and registered press on Tuesday to Thursday, from 17:00. Influencers from the AV industry and the broader tech industry are being invited to ISE 2022 to share their personal show highlights with their followers.
