NEC to show 98in UHD display

Likely to attract considerable attention at ISE 2015, if only by virtue of its size, is the new 98in MultiSync X981UHD display from NEC Display Solutions.

Likely to attract considerable attention at ISE 2015, if only by virtue of its size, is the new 98in MultiSync X981UHD display from NEC Display Solutions. With resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 (UHD) pixels, it features an LED backlit S-IPS panel and 10-bit colour performance. The display provides advanced settings of all relevant visual parameters for full control of brightness, colour, gamma and uniformity via NEC’s Spectraview Engine and hardware calibratable LUT for accurate image presentation. A range of digital connectivity options is included together with a bi-cubic 4×4 pixel interpolation algorithm to achieve smooth colours and clear edges when lower resolution sources are upscaled. The MultiSync X981UHD display can be managed from a centralised location thanks to NEC’s NaViSet Administrator 2.

First deliveries of the new display are expected to begin in February.

Also on show on the NEC stand is the new PH1201QL, a 4K 3DLP laser-phosphor installation projector. With no lamp replacement necessary, maintenance is not required and longevity is, according to the company, assured. It is designed for rental/staging, higher education, museums, large corporates and control room installations. It will be available in April.

Stand: 4-R24
