Making new connections

According to Sommer Cable, the Sysboxx system is one of the most widespread modular housing systems in the installation and entertainment sector and is already in use in a large number of installations.

Over 50 different sheet steel modules for various connectors, as well as many connector modules with connection technology for AF, AES/EBU, DMX and network signal, can be used throughout the line.

The components consist of solid steel plates (front panel thickness 2.5mm) and extruded aluminium profiles. Surfaces are powder-coated in finely structured RAL7016. New members of the Sysboxx product line are being introduced at ISE 2017.

For users wishing to combine power, data and media connections in a single compact and cost-efficient installation unit, Sommer recommends SysframeE45. The slim solid stainless steel frame with its glass bead sanded surface is said to integrate seamlessly into classrooms, offices or conference halls.

Two different sizes are available to house four or eight connection modules. The optional cable management tray minimises mess under the table and allows the invisible integration of signal extender solutions.

Schuko connection modules are offered as an option for Germany, France and Belgium with touch-proof Wieland GST18i3 connectors, which do not require an electrician for installation. Sysframe45‘s clamping technology fits tabletops of 10-60mm thickness, enabling easy integration into existing furniture systems.
