The Eve family is being extended with the addition of an on-wall mounting frame for the Apple iPod Touch.
Intended to work within a home automation system, Eve touch is made out of high-grade aluminium in a design with a fine border that complements Apple’s portable device.
Eve frames already exist for the iPad and iPad Air products, but for rooms with applications such as door phones, a music system control or a lighting and temperature control that only need a small screen, the iPod touch is a handy replacement for the larger iPad screen.
The frame is powered by a puck-shaped USB charger that ensures that the iPod remains charged and is always ready for use. There is thus no need to take it off to load the battery and there are no unsightly cables or connections.
The new frame is available in a number of finishes, including polished aluminium, brushed anodised black, or aluminium and satin white.
Basalte has also announced that the iPad frame Eve Air is also compatible with the iPad Air 2 and Eve mini is now compatible with iPad mini 1, 2 and 3 versions. A lockable security version is also available for the Eve frame.
