Specifically designed for conference rooms are two new matrix switchers with enhanced audio and control capabilities, on show by Lightware at ISE 2018. MMX8x4-HT420M has four HDMI and four TPS (HDBaseT) inputs, and two HDMI and two TPS outputs. The device also features a dedicated Special Audio Input Block for microphone and line-in. The devices have built-in sound mixer DSP and a Mic port, which can also supply phantom power.
This Special Audio Input Block includes a voice activation feature, allowing the presenter’s voice to become automatically focused as soon as the speaker starts talking into the microphone.
PoE 48V remote powering is available on every I/O TPS port for cost-effective installations. The built-in Event Manager feature provides control via RS-232, IR, Ethernet, Relay and GPIO ports.
MMX8x4-HT400MC is a budget friendly version of the MMX8x4-HT420M, the main difference being the lack of output TPS ports, offering four HDMI ports on the output side instead.
