ISE’s owners hail ‘extraordinarily successful’ event

The two trade associations that co-own Integrated Systems Europe – InfoComm International and CEDIA – have described the 2014 edition of the show as ‘extraordinarily successful’ and ‘phenomenal’.

“ISE 2014 was extraordinarily successful by all standards of measurement,” commented David Labuskes, CTS, RCDD, executive director and CEO, InfoComm International. “The stands were filled with innovative technology, the aisles were packed with more than 51,000 attendees and an unprecedented number of industry professionals bettered themselves at InfoComm University education sessions, with 937 seats filled. It was a great way to kick off the industry calendar, and a spectacular way to begin InfoComm International’s 75th year.”

“What started out as a small show with less than 3,000 attendees in Geneva 11 years ago has blossomed into a thriving event with more than 950 exhibitors and 50,000 attendees in 2014. That first ISE was an important early step in InfoComm International’s journey beyond its US borders, but would be largely unrecognisable to this year’s ISE attendees.

“With over 140,000 attendees per year, visiting more than 100,000 net square metres of paid floor space, InfoComm has used its ten trade shows to build the global brand of the association and its membership, educate the industry, promote its certification program, foster networking and most importantly, build a community for the industry. ISE 2014 is the perfect reflection on that vision and we thank everyone at Integrated Systems Events, as well as our partner, CEDIA, for helping to create an ideal environment at the RAI for a week each year,” he concluded.

CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association), has enjoyed a “quite phenomenal” ISE 2014, according to Wendy Griffiths, executive director in Region 1 (UK, Europe, Russia and the CIS, the Middle East, Africa, India and Pakistan).

“This year’s event demonstrated outstanding international growth and CEDIA benefited hugely from this success,” she said. “It was the biggest and best ISE ever, and provided an incredible showcase for CEDIA’s education, membership and marketing programmes. ISE 2014 was phenomenal in every respect.

“More new CI companies joined as CEDIA members at the show than ever before. Interest in how CEDIA membership can help firms grow and prosper was immense. We were also delighted to host key country meetings at the show to share ideas and plan activities in international territories that will help take the residential CI industry forward. Every CEDIA session in the new ISE Residential Solutions Theatre was jam-packed whilst the in-depth CEDIA training courses which available off the show floor were also well-attended. Demand for information on the 2014 CEDIA Awards, which opens for entries this month, was also exceptionally high.

“All in all, ISE 2014 proved to be an amazing event, giving CEDIA a brilliant platform for the year ahead,” said Griffiths.
