ISE 2017: tvONE launching 4K playback module

tvONE has announced a new streaming media and 4K playback module for the CORIOmaster video processor will be launched next month at ISE.

In addition, a 4K HDBaseT input module, a new single channel video encoder, and dual redundant power supplies for ONErack and the CORIOmaster micro videowall processor are also being unveiled.

The new tvONE CORIOmaster streaming media and 4K playback module allows digital video from the cloud or the internet to be blended with local media and AV connections and presented together on a videowall in any desired configuration. Compatible with the CORIOmaster, CORIOmaster mini and the new CORIOmaster micro, the module offers dual channel 1080p60 streaming media as well as file playback, via USB3.0, of any resolution up to UHD/4K on the main channel and 1080p/60 on the secondary channel.

Features include on-board 16Gb storage for video/still playback expandable to 128Gb. Using CORIOgrapher design and control software, IP feeds and locally stored media can be ordered into a playlist and played out in a queue. A new 4K HDBaseT (dual) input module allows uncompressed, high resolution 4K Video to be input into the CORIOmaster, CORIOmaster mini and CORIOmaster micro from standalone transmitters located up to 150m away.

Andy Fliss, EVP of sales and marketing, tvONE said: “CORIOmaster is the industry’s most versatile standalone video processor and the new module adds another powerful arrow to its quiver. Streaming has become a vital communication tool for businesses and organisations, and we’re adding a world of new possibilities for CORIOmaster users. The CORIOmaster ‘anything in, anything out’ capability now encompasses streamed as well as locally stored content.”

Also new at ISE 2017 is the Magenta Encoder-100, a single channel video encoder capable of resolutions up to 1920×1200. Paired with the CORIOmaster streaming media and 4K playback module, it allows traditional AV signals such as HDMI to be streamed to a videowall. Video streams can be scaled before distribution to reduce bandwidth consumption.

ONErack, the tvONE universal powered rack mounting system is being enhanced through the addition of optional dual redundant power supplies. tvONE’s patent pending design converts randomly sized, externally-powered devices from any manufacturer into slide-in modules that can be installed quickly and cleanly and serviced easily.

CORIOmaster micro, a new, smaller videowall processor completes tvONE’s announcements at ISE. Not only does the CORIOmaster micro deliver the same bandwidth and functionality of CORIOmaster in a super-compact form capable of accepting up to three modules, but also adds audio support as well as front panel buttons for source routing and pre-set recalling.
