The new AD-16x 16×16 Audio Matrix Switcher from RTI is the latest in its line-up of audio distribution systems. The switcher, which will be shown for the first time at ISE 2014, is aimed at large multi-zone audio installations, allowing up to 16 audio sources to be easily distributed to 16 zones. Its control options include IR/RS-232 and IP with two-way feedback as well as a control protocol with group zone commands. The AD-16x also has audio pre-outs and a web interface for zone setup and grouping configuration.
Also new is the KX1 in-wall keypad for multi-room audio control, which combines a 1.2-inch OLED display with support for powerful two-way control, allowing users to view cover art, song metadata and more. It has 11 customisable hard buttons for quick access to control functions, a backlit volume level indicator, ambient light sensors and Ethernet.
