Amsterdam isn’t always the first place that springs to mind when it comes to sky-scraping futurist architecture, which is why this place, handily situated by the A2 and A9 motorways, has caught our attention. Designed by Amsterdam architectural legends Benthem Crowel (the firm responsible for the Stedelijk Museum’s bath tub extension) the newly opened Fletcher Hotel was conceived as a landmark to punctuate the ‘start’ and ‘end’ of the city.
