Today sees the return of AV Career Day; a collaboration between AVIXA and CEDIA to offer students and educators from around the world a chance to explore careers in this exciting industry. Careers in AV are varied and cover a wide range of roles from installation technicians and smart home designers, live events and lighting, to manufacturing, engineering, IT and technology managers, content creation and more. Today, a select group of students will spend the day touring the ISE show floor to learn from rising talent about their career paths, and see how AV professionals use new technologies to create incredible experiences in their daily lives. Following the programme, students will present what they’ve learned to their classmates and embark on industry skills training alongside their studies.
Ahead of the show, Joseph Valerio, program director, member engagement, at AVIXA, said: “Career Day at ISE – and others like it throughout the year – are paramount to helping our youth see how many viable career paths our industry truly offers. Bringing students and faculty to see our show and engage with our community strengthens the bonds we’re building with schools training the next-generation workforce. The more people can connect their passions and skills with job roles in our industry, the more eager talent employers will have to hire. In doing so we can ensure our industry’s future remains bright.”
