‘Insights into the Russian Market’ offered at ISE 2017

ISE 2017 has hosted its first ‘Insights into the Russian Markets’ event.

The presentation and networking event, which took place at ISE 2017 on Thursday afternoon, was designed to deliver valuable information on the Russian AV systems integration business, and give manufacturers looking to expand into Russia and CIS the opportunity to connect with key Russian distributors.

It saw various Russian business representatives offer their insights into the up-and-coming Russian market: Digis’ Sigov Pavel (pictured); Integrated Systems Russia’s Daria Petrova; invidis consulting founder and managing director Florian Rotberg; Polymedia CEO Elena Novikova; Iridium Mobile’s Nikolay Rusanov; and Hi-Tech Media managing partner Sergey Kuznetsov.

Petrova said: “We want to introduce Russian manufacturers to the wider market. GDP is projected to grow between 1% and 2% in the next year, and, with our recession coming to an end, there is great deal of potential in the Russian market.”

As an example, she cited the growing DOOH and digital signage market throughout Moscow and St Petersburg, where over 15,000 out-of-home advertising structures generated approximately €190 million in 2016.

“Russia has changed a lot,” stated Rotberg. “There are many positive signs for 2017 and 2018. The market is huge, and with the event of major events such as the 2018 World Cup in Russia, we will see major investments in our markets in the near future.”
