InfoComm announces triple-format ISE 2016 education programme

At Integrated Systems Europe 2016 (Amsterdam, 9-12 February), InfoComm International’s comprehensive education and training line-up will feature sessions in three different formats: InfoComm Conferences, InfoComm MasterClass sessions and InfoComm FlashTracks. The different formats allow attendees to choose from, respectively, half-day, three-hour and quick 20-minute courses and presentations on a wide range of industry topics. All sessions provide renewal units (RU) toward the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification.

“For ISE 2016, we built an enriched and diverse educational programme,” said Pamela M Taggart, senior director of development Europe, InfoComm International. “We wanted to mature our focus and go beyond basic training. This programme does that by offering sessions focused around how we can improve the way we do business, in addition to deep dives into technology applications, key markets and much more. Professionals of all levels can participate by investing as little as 20 minutes to a half-day.”

The InfoComm Conferences are two half-day sessions held during the show. Each conference is worth three CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I renewal units.

InfoComm for Higher Education: What’s Working Now will focus on technology advancements and integration tools and strategies for higher education facilities. The session wraps with a networking reception.

InfoComm for AV Executives: What’s Working Now will concentrate on the importance of actively creating, fostering and sustaining an aligned corporate culture. The conference and panel will include executives from well-respected companies who have garnered success in developing and maintaining a healthy corporate culture. This session kicks off with a breakfast.

The InfoComm MasterClass program, designed for experienced AV professionals, emphasizes in-depth technical and business topics through hands-on activities. These three-hour sessions will be taught by industry experts from organisations such as Harman Professional, Paradigm Audiovisual and Meyer Sound. Each session offers three renewal units.

The MasterClass session titles include:
• Projection Optimisation
• The Product is Dead, Long Live the Platform
• The HDBaseT Expert Installer Course
• AV/IT Security Needs Analysis
• Networked AV
• Project Management for AV Integrators
• How to Enable Collaboration in an IT Infrastructure
• Classroom & Meeting Room Design: The Viewing Environment
• Digital Audio and Networking
• LED Lighting Control and the Internet of Things
• Classroom & Meeting Room Design: The Listening Environment

“I have been teaching at InfoComm events for many years and have also been involved in best practices and standards writing,” said Greg Jeffreys, CEO, Paradigm Audiovisual, who will be leading a MasterClass course on projection optimisation. “I’m delighted to get the chance to pull these elements into a single intensive session where we can address the theoretical and practical issues for optimising projected images in sufficient detail.”

The InfoComm FlashTracks are free, 20-minute presentations at the InfoComm stand 12-N100 at ISE. They are designed for AV professionals of all experience levels. Attendees will hear about hot topics in the industry, including short excerpts from InfoComm University courses featuring practical, applicable ideas and skills. These sessions offer 0.5 renewal units.

Beyond its professional development programme, InfoComm will be one of the 1,000-plus exhibitors at the ISE show, and will be located on stand 11-N100 at the Amsterdam RAI.
