Visitors to ISE 2015 can sample for themselves the effects of Auro-3D, a unique 3D audio system being presented throughout the exhibition.

Taking place in Rooms E105/6 at the RAI, the Immersive Sound Experience is designed to offer visitors an aural demonstration of how truly immersive sound can take a music or movie experience into the next dimension.

A group of partners, led by Datasat Digital Entertainment, a leader in cinema sound, will present ‘Auro-3D Music and Movies’ throughout the show. These demonstrations will be accompanied by presentations and discussion with the inventor Wilfried Van Baelen (pictured) alongside representatives from the movie and music industries.

Auro-3D is a means of delivering audio that wraps the listener ‘in a cocoon of life-like sound’. Listeners experience the sensation of sound reproduction coming from around their head as well as above it. Auro-3D is available on many platforms and devices such as mobile devices, gaming, automotive, and AV systems. It is installed in hundreds of commercial cinemas around the world. Auro-3D is designed for both movie theatre sound and as an audio mixing and sound recording format.

During the ISE show the Immersive Sound Experience room will also host a press conference with Sony Music for the launch of a new album by the award winning Belgian artist Ozark Henry. This will take place between 17:00-19:00 on 11 February.

Partners in the Immersive Sound Experience are Datasat Digital Entertainment, Genelec, Lang AG and Screenline.

Location: Room E105/6.
