Staramba’s 3D image capture stand in the ISE Immersive Technology Zone (powered by Holovis) is placing visitors straight into the virtual world. By scanning in 3D, Staramba generates the data for high-quality colour avatars and for 3D printing.
“We have a lot of business in the games market and we have already scanned players of 14 major football teams, including Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea,” said divisional sales manager Patrick Loewer (pictured).
Interest is coming from unexpected applications such as creating avatars for videoconferencing and taking measurements for clothing, and
Loewer believes that users will find many completely new applications for the technology.
