The 2G+AVP transmitter and receiver range is being aimed at meeting the audio requirements of pro installers using HDMI over IP (HD/IP) technology.
The 2G+AVP transmitters feature HDMI with audio, a line input, and a Mic input, allowing each audio input to be mixed, played individually, or played in any desired combination. The 2G+ A/V Pro transmitter Mic/Line input lets users add and extract audio for paging, injecting and distributing analogue audio.
With Dolby certification and IP controlled variable analogue audio-out, the system is capable of delivering a true down-mix from HDMI Dolby audio to stereo analogue with easy control, according to Just Add Power.
The company said the Ethernet-based HD video distribution system would be ideal for integrators delivering large-scale, multi-zone HDTV and videowall projects. A free videowall app can accommodate anything from a 2×2 up to an 16×16 videowall. It also claimed that, unlike fixed format HDMI matrices, HD/IP lets installers build a matrix that is scalable to the exact size they require, from 1×1 up to 4,000 x 65,000.
Computers and control systems can access the On Screen Display API to send an overlay text message to any or all of the devices on the network. The company said this was ideal for transmitting information to all types of applications from emergency response alerts and home automation functions to custom signage messages and customer entertainment.
The range also supports CEC control, RS-232, IR and USB 2.0 over IP, as well as Image Pull for live feedback of content.
The HDMI over IP products come in four generations: 1G, 2G, 2G+ and the new 2G+AVP models. Each generation has a more enhanced featureset than the last but each generation is backwards compatible, meaning the models can be mixed and matched within the same system.
