As reducing environmental impact becomes an increasing priority for us all professionally as well as personally, the subject of sustainability is more prominent than ever at this year’s ISE.
On Friday 2 February, AVIXA and CEDIA are jointly presenting a Sustainability Workshop. This three-hour workshop (10:30-13:30) is a hands-on event involving group working. The aim is to help attendees to think through the impact of the challenges they face, and consider how they can profit from potential opportunities.
The workshop is led by Simon Brown, a business owner, entrepreneur and adviser who has focused on sustainable innovation for the past 20 years. He comments: “A conversation has been brewing for a while about the relevance of sustainability to industries that are represented at ISE. There’s a huge agenda that people need to embrace and get their heads around, and start to apply that to how they do business.”
For the second year, ISE’s Official Partner is Sustainability in AV (SAVe). SAVe is bringing together stakeholders in the AV field to take concerted action to achieve the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Since its highly successful visit to ISE 2023, the organisation has created the SAVe Ambassadors programme. Today this includes industry leaders from Canada, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil.
Its activities at ISE 2024 include:
- Hosting a SAVe Ambassador event
- Providing short overview presentations highlighting its efforts to advance sustainability in pro AV
- Hosting a happy hour networking reception in partnership with Edge in Room D1 (Hall 8), Wednesday 31 January from 16:00-18:00
SAVe can be found on stand CS220 in Congress Square.
There are also a number of sessions in the conference and free content programmes addressing different aspects of sustainability.
