Digital Signage Summit will return to ISE with an extensive programme designed to explore new industry trends and drivers, sustainability in signage and the technologies premiering at ISE.
The half-day summit C-level summit, taking place in room CC5.1 on Wednesday 1 February, will once again be curated and hosted by Florian Rotberg and Stefan Schieker, and jointly organised by ISE and invidis.
As is traditional, the summit will begin with an invidis keynote, delivered by Rotberg and Schieker. This year’s session is entitled ‘The Power of Pixels’ and will cover the latest trends and market updates, setting the agenda for the industry.
In ‘Immersive Digital Experiences: Creating compelling interactive experiences and media networks in retail and hospitality applications’, Brad Koerner, director of hardware and application innovation, Cooler Screens, will explore the explosion of formats in digital signage, the capability to generate real time, data-driven experiences, and making these experiences reactive to guests’ physical presence. Debate will centre around how this fusion of physical and digital is rapidly transforming retail, hospitality and other applications, leading to the explosive growth of new location-based media networks.
The need for immersive and engaging content will also be discussed in ‘Power of Content’. Here, Bryan Meszaros, CEO, OpenEye, and Monika Lindquist, CMO & CCO, Visual Art, will present the latest content trends, the role of data and why a digital canvas offers so much more than an eCommerce store.
The hot topic of sustainability is also on the DSS agenda, as Sian Rees, international product manager, PPDS, explores ‘Managing Green Signage – Making digital signage more sustainable’. She will discuss the multiple approaches to green signage, including remote maintenance, optimising settings and power scheduling, and how customers as well as the environment benefit.
According to latest studies, 80% of the carbon footprint of digital signage is produced during operations. In ‘Power Play – Exclusive insights about specific power consumption, performance boost of SoC’, a panel will share the latest insights into reducing power consumption, the role of content and identifying energy-saving potentials. Speakers here are Hubertus Beckmann, technical director, LANG AG; Stan Richter, CEO, SignageOS; and Loek Wermenbol, retail strategy director, FirstImpression.
The summit will end with the invidis Annual Outlook 2023, where Invidis partner Dave Haynes from Sixteen-Nine will join Rotberg and Schieker to provide insights into the digital signage market in EMEA and North America as well as risk a forecast into the mid-term future of the industry.
