Free events offer extensive opportunities

You can learn, network and share expertise at numerous free-to-attend sessions, produced by AVIXA and CEDIA, at ISE 2023. These are the Smart Home Technology Stage programme, Tech Talks in English and Spanish, AVIXA Xchange Live and AVIXA Councils events.

With the exception of the AVIXA Councils events, registration is not required.

On the Smart Home Technology Stage in Hall 2 (stand 2F350) , CEDIA is hosting a series of panel discussions and fireside chats addressing some of the toughest challenges facing the smart home industry.

There will be technical sessions covering, among other topics, standards-based engineering; sustainable and independent living; cyber security; the Metaverse; and cable fire regulations.

Business topics include recruiting, nurturing and retaining talent; marketing in the modern world; the top five opportunities for 2023; and sessions on opportunities arising from resimercial (the crossover between custom install and pro AV), energy-saving technologies, and expertise in lighting.

The stage is also hosting the CEDIA Annual General Meeting at 16:00 on Wednesday 1 February, and the ISE 2023 Stand Design Awards at 16:00 on Thursday 2 February.

Produced by AVIXA, the Tech Talks programme in room CC4.1 is designed to give new and existing visitors the opportunity to learn about technology innovations and business developments. Here you can learn new ideas, discover best-practice case studies and get a glimpse of the state of the art.

The morning Spanish-language sessions will cover a wide range of subjects including using drones to capture AV content; virtual production sets; integrating AV into fitness training; the Metaverse in the fashion industry; AI in music; and multi-user VR systems.

The afternoon sessions in English have an equally diverse range of subjects, including in-camera visual effects in TV programmes such as The Mandalorian; the impact of technology in museums; new revenue streams from ‘as-a -service’ offerings; how AV is meeting the needs of enterprise IT; and an overview of the electronic waste generated by the AV industry.

The Xchange Live stand is also the location for a series of AVIXA Councils events. These are designed to enable the AV community to come together to network, learn and support the growth of the industry. The AVIXA Women’s and Diversity Councils are hosting a panel discussion on Technology at the Service of Inclusion at 17:00 on Wednesday 1 February in room CC4.4. There are opportunities to network and connect with others at the AVIXA Women’s Council Regional in-language meetups and the AVIXA Council and Member Reception.
