Four lines for audio hint at greater future potential

Four audio product lines, comprising two software-based and two hardware devices, are being introduced by Xilica Audio Design.

Known for designing, developing and manufacturing high-performance audio systems, Xilica’s newest control software is SolaroControl. This is an iOS App that allows users to control the company’s Dante-enabled Neutrino and Uno Series digital processor models through the use of iOS devices.

SolaroConsole is Xilica’s forthcoming new DSP configuration software. It will eventually replace the current NeuConsole configuration software, but the company is beta testing this new release and demonstrating itspotential at ISE 2015. The full release is scheduled for March 2015.

SolaroConsole is a universal platform software, in that it supports PC, Mac and Linux, which has SolaroControl integrated within it. It’s also in semi-development, as Xilica said that by the end of 2015 it would include the added benefits of universal control of other product brands than its own. Additionally the SolaroConsole software will offer universal Dante configuration of other third-party Dante

On the hardware side, Xilica is introducing two compact outboard Dante interface devices at ISE 2015.The 2 x 2 and 4 x 4 I/O devices being launched at ISE have no DSP on board, however Xilica revealed that versions of the interfaces with on-board DSP will be introduced in mid-2015.

Xilica is also showing a prototype of its new high-performance, low-cost Solaro DSP board in the Hall 7 booth. It is targeted at OEM companies for use in powered speakers, amplifiers, and other product solutions.
