A live interactive virtual reality extension demonstration is taking place for the duration of the show on the Icron Technologies stand in the Discovery Zone, using the company’s new Maverick UHD video and USB 3.1 extension platform.
The Maverick platform is an integrated extension solution combining Icron’s proprietary ExtremeUSB USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) extension technology with the intoPIX TICO lightweight compression engine enabling extension of UHD 4Kp60 4:4:4 video and all type USB peripherals over a single CatX cable up to 100m. Maverick is being made available to OEM customers to support their specific design applications.
In addition to UHD and USB extension, Icron’s ExtremeUSB suite of features includes transparent USB extension, true plug-and-play with no software drivers required, as well as compatibility with all major operating systems: Windows, MacOS and Linux.
