The excitement mounts – just 24 hours before the biggest-ever ISE opens!

With one day to go before ISE 2014 opens its doors, there’s a sense of anticipation in the air as the world of professional AV and electronic systems technology converges on Amsterdam. More than 45,000 attendees from over 130 countries are expected to visit the RAI between tomorrow and Thursday, drawn by a record 950-plus exhibitors occupying over 36,000 net square metres of floor space.

While the exhibit halls do not open until tomorrow, new business, networking and educational opportunities abound at the RAI today, with the third Smart Building Conference, inaugural Investor Showcase, Connessioni’s Audio Forum, an eagerly awaited Keynote Address by Cisco’s Dr Dirk Schlesinger and ISE’s traditional Opening Reception all expected to draw eager crowds of qualified attendees.

Once the doors open tomorrow, ISE 2014 attendees will benefit from a whole host of innovations designed to enhance their event experience. A third entrance to the RAI (Entrance F) will offer convenient access to Halls 7 and 8, allowing visitors to bypass the crowds at the existing entrances at the front of the venue. A larger number of interactive wayfinding stations, newly designed information points and signage at the entrance to every hall will all assist navigation around the largest systems integration trade-show ever held in Europe, while a new Business Lounge on the bridge between Halls 7 and 8 will offer free WiFi and the chance to rest those tired feet.

At the Business Lounge and other points around the show floor, product distributors will be able to take advantage of the new M2D (Manufacturer to Distributor) service, whereby exhibitors seeking national distribution are listed by country in a rolling programme on large screens. Also on the screens around the RAI will be ISE’s new Daily TV News and an enhanced Info Channel showing education session highlights as well as local information regarding travel, weather and so on.

Every pre-registered ISE attendee will receive two free vouchers for InfoComm education sessions, while visitors are also encouraged to take advantage of CEDIA’s education offering and to check out the gallery of successful projects from the association’s 2013 awards programme on Stand 1-F21.

Adding to the Professional Development offering at ISE 2014, two new show-floor arenas – the Commercial Solutions Theatre on Stand 8-H310 and the Residential Solutions Theatre on Stand 7-W180 – will be offering free-to-attend presentations on a wide range of hot topics from 11:00 tomorrow.
