Updates to trusted capture solutions as well as latest products including Pearl Rackmount and Pearl Rackmount Twin, which are debuting at ISE, are being shown off by Epiphan Video.
ISE 2016 marks the release of a new firmware with exciting new features for Epiphan’s all-in-one live video production switcher, Pearl. Suitable for mirroring live event production to a local projector or for monitoring on a larger screen, Pearl’s two integrated live video output ports now support video and audio output from any configured channel or input. Additionally, Pearl’s time saving and set up-simplifying configuration presets are now transferable between devices allowing users to easily manage a fleet of Pearl systems.
Also introduced at ISE 2016 are two new Pearl models made specifically for users who prefer to travel with portable rackmount flight cases or who are installing Pearl in fixed environments.
Pearl Rackmount offers the same features as the desktop model, but is designed for installation in a rack, including an integrated power supply and cooling system optimised for rack operation. For customers with mission-critical recording and streaming events, Epiphan introduces Pearl Rackmount Twin. With two Pearl systems mounted side-by-side in a single 2U chassis, the Twin model is a high-density system perfect for redundant capture that is resilient to failure.
David Kirk, vice president of product marketing at Epiphan Video, talked about the new systems: “Pearl has been a real hit in the market and we continue to add features based on the feedback of our customers. Recently we received a number of requests for a robust rackmount version of Pearl with features such as an integrated power supply. We’re pleased to make these two new hardware models available with all the same power, functionality and reliability our customers have come to expect from Pearl.”
