dnp screen is world’s largest

ISE 2015 sees the first major public showing of the recently-launched Supernova XL screen from dnp denmark.

ISE 2015 sees the first major public showing of the recently-launched Supernova XL screen from dnp denmark. Claimed by the company to be the world’s largest optical front projection screen available as a single screen solution, it provides an image area of up to 5.3mx 3.0m.

dnp is presenting new frame colour options for the Supernova XL; the Supernova XL on show is fitted with ‘White Sand’ (dnp’s new white frame).

The company is also putting its 110in Supernova Blade up against a conventional white screen material by way of a split-screen comparison, enabling visitors to undertake their own evaluation as to the difference between a conventional white front projection screen and an optical front projection screen.

Demonstrated in high ambient light conditions, showing presentations with sharp images and detailed data, dnp global sales and marketing manager Søren Kraemmergaard believes it is debunking some of the myths.

“There is a lot of marketing spin going on when manufacturers appraise their products,” he said. “We want to give people a chance to see the difference with their own eyes — and nothing is more compelling than a live demonstration.”

dnp is also previewing two new high contrast front screens for increasingly important short throw projection applications. One, for single projector use, has a gain of 0.9 in an improved version of the company’s existing STS Screen (with greater brightness and a new frame). The other is designed for edge-blending, with a maximum height of 1.5 metres and offering unlimited width.
