Digital Projection makes laser model brighter

ISE 2016 sees two important enhancements made by Digital Projection to its 3-chip DarkChip DLP-based HIGHlite Laser large venue projector range. The HIGHlite Laser II features 13,000 ANSI lumens, compared with its predecessor’s 11,000 lumens, and features upgraded electronics that give the projector new capabilities. Video processing is improved, according to the company, and a full 120Hz processing path is now provided from DisplayPort Sequential 120Hz or 60Hz per input dual-pipe HDMI.

The new version of the HIGHlite features WUXGA resolution and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1, together with the same 20,000 hour solid state laser phosphor light source as the previous version, meaning that minimal ongoing maintenance is required and lamp replacement costs are eliminated – both of which contribute to lower cost of ownership.

Designed for a diverse range of professional venues, the HIGHlite Laser II includes image edge blending as standard, together with advanced geometric warp correction. Additionally, active 3D functionality with frame rates up to 144Hz is included. Dual HDMI 1.4, DVI and 3G-SDI inputs are included, while HDBaseT connectivity further augments the projector’s input options. The availability of range of both fixed and zoom lenses, together with what the company says is extensive lens shift, ensure that integrators installing the HIGHlite LASER have complete flexibility with respect to projector placement (which can be in portrait or landscape mode).
