Duecanali 1602, a two-channel amplifier, has been launched in Hall 7.
Powersoft describes it as a ‘vital’ addition to the Duecanali Series. In terms of on-board technology, it is similar to the new Quattrocanali four channel amplifier platform, which has also been launched at ISE 2017. However it differs from the current Duecanali models, which are based on the company’s K Series.
Network audio expansion is provided by the Dante protocol with a capacity of 4×4 channels, a feature not available in the earlier Duecanali models.
The amplifier is able to drive low impedance loads (2/4/8 ohm) and 70V/100V distributed lines selectable per channel. Furthermore, it provides more than 16 different possible output configurations (Lo-Z, Hi-Z, bridge mode, parallel mode, and combinations of these), delivering a maximum output power per channel of 800W at 8ohm, 800W at 4ohm, 1000W at 2ohm, 2000W at 8ohm bridged, 1600W at 4ohm bridged, 800W at 100V, and 800W at 70V.
