Core Brands expands ELAN g! for ISE 2014

Addition of new thermostat and HDMI Switchers strengthens robustness and flexibility of the award-winning ELAN g! Home Entertainment and Control platform.

Core Brands will introduce several new products to its ELAN g! Home Entertainment and Control System line at ISE 2014.

The new devices will strengthen the system’s robustness and flexibility, according to the company, and will include a new thermostat, HDMI switchers and IP Cameras. “This is the beginning of an exciting year for ELAN, one that will see many new innovations brought to market,” commented Joe Lautner, director, Core Brands Control Category.

ELAN’s wireless programmable thermostat gSTAT – combined with the ELAN g! system – lets homeowners heat or cool their homes from any location. The 4.5in backlit touch panel allows simple editing of the seven-day programme and integrates with existing HVAC wiring.

The new IP cameras support full 1080P resolutions (2MP) and provide high quality images in dome, mini–dome and mini-bullet enclosures. All are ONVIF version 2.2 Profile S compliant and integrate with g! software for viewing on any g! interface for monitoring from any location.

ELAN’s new HDMI matrix switchers include full audio integration and incorporate HDMI, analog, optical and digital signal paths and will allow the integrator to route audio and video signals in virtually any combination. This provides the integrator with the flexibility to use HDMI as an audio source with no extra interfaces or special wiring. The architecture also allows the HDMI end point to be music zone controllers so that sound bars can be used as zone speakers. ELAN’s g! programming platform provides quick configuration of the inputs, outputs and zones.

ELAN’s new line of high-definition IP video surveillance cameras include four models with two megapixel cameras and a 3.3-12mm lens that is capable of recording full 1080p video, coupled with an on board IR flood that ensures flawless nighttime functionality. The cameras also include audio inputs and outputs and a microSD card slot that functions as a backup to a network video recorder. They communicate via IP using a PoE compliant port (12V DC/PoE), using the ONVIF protocol.
